Gifts and Donations

  • Making a Personal Donation

Many of our colleagues and peers in the field, as well as grateful patients of our unit, seek opportunities to give financially to this area of medicine, having a personal connection and a passion to help us pursue the best possible outcomes for all patients into the future. The HOPE Fund (formerly The Surgeons Impact Fund) was created to provide this opportunity. With your tax deductible donation, you too can be part of our ambitious effort.

  • Gift in Memory

Honour the memory of a loved one by paying tribute to their life. You can make a gift in memory at any time to celebrate the life of a loved one. You may choose to make a donation on a significant day each year, or make a one-off donation. Speak to our philanthropic manager to find out how.

  • Donation in Lieu of Gifts

Celebrate your special day by giving to help support cancer research. Ask your friends and family to donate what they would have spent on your birthday/wedding or anniversary present. Speak to our philanthropic manger to find out how.

  • Attend a Fundraising Event

Our fundraising events are an opportunity for people who are interested in our work to find out more about current and new ways we help improve surgical outcomes as well as cancer research all while having some fun!

About The HOPE Fund

The HOPE Fund aims to ensure that all hepatobiliary and upper gastrointestinal patients receive world-leading outcomes through research, optimal care and global collaboration.

Donations can be made to us through The HOPE Fund (formerly Surgeons Impact Fund), which was established in 2018 as the result of a partnership between Kooyong Group and our group of Melbourne based Upper Gastrointestinal & Hepato-Pancreatic Biliary surgeons.

The Fund was established to provide an independent, dedicated avenue to support activities which enhance patient outcomes within the areas of Hepatobiliary and Upper Gastrointestinal surgery.

Ultimately, we want to improve surgery and surgical outcomes, improve post-surgery quality of life and save more lives.

The HOPE Fund is an approved sub-fund to the Australian Communities Foundation (ABN 57 967 620 066), and is therefore subject to receive Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status under ATO guidelines.

Your tax deductible donation can make a difference for our patients today.
