Aim:

  • To establish a living biobank of organoid cultures from patient-derived pancreatic cancer and normal tissue
  • To establish a living biobank of patient-derived xenograft lines from patient-derived pancreatic cancer tissue
  • To explore the use of organoid cultures to improve treatment selection, drug development, and/or determine new drug combinations to treat pancreatic cancer

Eligibility

Inclusion

  • Adults 18 years of age

  • Have a clinical suspicion and/or tissue diagnosis of pancreatic cancer

  • Able to provide samples of tumor and/or normal tissue and blood and/or plasma samples

Exclusion

  • Unable to provide own consent

Outcome Measures

  • Successful establishment of patient derived tumour organoids ( PDTO)

  • Development of an assay test  on PDTO using common chemotherapeutic agents

  • Genomic sequencing of pancreatic tumour samples and patient derived tumour organoids
